Join members of the Foothills REALTOR Association on Tuesday, November 10, 10:00am-11:30am at Isothermal Community College for a glimpse into a new Sex Offender Registry app.

This session's featured speaker is Scott Glawson, the former Chief Information Officer for the NC Department of Justice. Scott has over 40 years of experience in information technology and is a native son of Rutherford County.

Scott's background working with the NC Department of Justice, including direct, hands-on experience with the state's Sex Offender Registry, led him to build SensorCircle, a free public safety app used to search sex offender registry data nationwide.

This session's program will focus on SensorCircle and how it can be used to search for offenders by GPS location, address, zip code, or name — along with a practical discussion of what North Carolina law actually requires (and doesn't require) real estate professionals to disclose to buyers regarding registered offenders near a property. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions.
